At Private Label Surrogacy (PLS), we have created a program that prioritizes our surrogate’s health — so she can feel as good as possible while carrying a baby. One advantage of working with PLS is that our surrogates have access to our fertility and prenatal nutrition expert, Julie, and will receive nutrition consults at least six times during their journey.
Pre-pregnancy support
Julie meets with each surrogate before she becomes pregnant to offer guidance on how to be her best self throughout the pregnancy. She completes a Pre-Pregnancy Nutrition Welcome Phone Call covering the consultation schedule, fertility-nutrition recommendations, and goal setting.
First trimester support
Upon confirmed pregnancy, surrogates meet with Julie for an Initial Prenatal Nutrition Video Call to complete a comprehensive assessment and discuss nutrition guidelines. A follow-up call focuses on first-trimester symptom management and reminders.
Second trimester support
Julie leads a personal discussion on weight management and physical activity, and highlights what is occurring with fetal growth. She remains available to collaborate with the medical team as needed.
Last trimester support
Each surrogate has a gestational-diabetes screening and labs to identify anemia. Julie discusses the results, recommends any dietary changes, and covers probiotics and delivery preparation. PLS also offers a hospital checklist for surrogates and intended parents.
Post-delivery
Recovery nutrition is vital after delivery — for replenishing nutrients, healing, and weight management. Because delivery causes blood loss, our expert provides education on iron-rich nutrients to help with fatigue. For surrogates who choose to pump breast milk, extra calories and hydration are essential to support milk supply.
